Australia to share future of Blockchain in Singapore

Senior strategic foresight researcher to speak at Smart Nation 2050 Strategy Breakfast.

The Australian Government will share its plans for Blockchain technology in Singapore later this month. Dr Alicia Cameron, Senior Researcher at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation, Australia, will give a keynote speech at the GovInsider Strategy Breakfast on 28 October. Alicia Cameron Cameron will discuss a new report on the potential of Blockchain, and it's far-reaching implications across public services and in the logistics industry. Data61, together with the Australian Treasury, is studying the potential for better economic productivity, the skills that would be required, and regulatory and privacy concerns. The Strategy Breakfast, themed Smart Nation 2050, will discuss the trends and technologies that will shape the future of Singapore. It will bring together government officials from central government, defence, housing and planning, and members of the ports and transport authorities. The event is run in partnership with Dassault Systèmes - a world leader in 3D design software - which powers Virtual Singapore. Registration for the event has now closed. Image by Walter; CC BY 2.0
