How can AI secure Singapore’s financial institutions?

By GovInsider

Hear from banks, payments companies and cybersecurity specialists on 12 July.

What will be the impact of the global shortage of cybersecurity specialists on Singapore’s financial services industry? How will artificial intelligence and automation play a role in the future? And how can companies build up their capabilities alongside the tech?

Experts from banks, payments companies and cybersecurity specialists will discuss these issues at a summit on 12 July in Singapore. The event will bring together four major critical infrastructure sectors - government, healthcare, finance and transport - to discuss how the industries can adapt.

This comes as the central bank launched S$30m of funding to develop cybersecurity skills in the financial sector, and is exploring legally binding security measures for the sector.

The event will feature keynote speeches from NATO experts; the Singapore Computer Society; and machine learning specialists Splunk. There will be interactive roundtable discussions to learn from your colleagues in the finance sector, and opportunities to share lessons across sectors.
