How do you use technology/policy to improve citizens’ lives? Tell us about your role or organisation.

I am working as a computer specialist in Library and Archive Agency of West Kalimantan Provincial Government. Our work focuses on increasing public literacy.

I am in charge of an application called INLISlite from the Ministry of National Library. This application allows us to manage books in the library and publish catalogues for people, and it helps us manage daily book-borrowing transactions.

What is your favourite part about your job?

I personally have access to read a lot of books that I’m interested in.

What is the best thing you have experienced in your career?

I love it when I am able to give the best service to the visitors in the library, especially when they ask me about the application about things that they might not understand.

If you were to share one piece of advice that you learned in 2019, what would it be?

When you work with a genuine heart and are responsible, then you will get peace and satisfaction in your duties. Work with your heart, then all parts of your body will naturally move to follow your heart.

What tool or technique particularly interests you for 2020?

I honestly expect more sophisticated computer devices to help me figure out some problems that might exist in my job in the future.

What are your priorities for 2020?

I am making it a priority to refine and expand my basic skills, and improve my work performance.

What is one challenge you would like to take on in 2020?

I want to challenge myself to be more adaptable with new leaders that could change over time.

What has been your fondest memory from the past years?

I cannot forget the time I was invited by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology of Indonesia Republic to attend an interesting event in South Korea. This was in December 2015. It was really an unforgettable moment and I really hope I will get more opportunities to attend more events related to my field of work.
