Digital lead of Japan’s economy ministry confirms for data & AI summit

By Nurfilzah Rohaidi

Join us on 18 July at the National Gallery Singapore for data and AI-driven ways to improve public services.

Hiroki Yoshida, Deputy Director of Digital Government and IT Industry Policy at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan, will speak at the upcoming GovInsider Data Governance & AI summit on 18 July in Singapore.

Yoshida founded the digital transformation office within METI, and tries to transform ways of creating digital services and implementing policies. He believes that there is a gap between the public and private sector when it comes to providing digital services, and wants to reduce that gap by working with businesses. He is leading digital transformation in his ministry, and is prioritising cashless payments.

What’s more, METI is creating a data exchange platform this year for the public and private sectors to share services. This way, platforms called Application Programme Interfaces or APIs will allow government agencies to connect with tech company platforms.

Join GovInsider and SAS, the data governance experts, at this half-day summit to showcase the best case studies from across the world. The summit is on 18th July at the National Gallery of Singapore.

Ask questions of experts flown in from across the world, and join industry practitioners to address your policy challenges with specific solutions. Speakers will also join us from Belgium and Singapore.
