Support for fintech startups through Accreditation@IDA programme.

The Singapore Government’s startup programme will provide support for financial innovation startups, the Infocomm Development Authority announced.

Through a new partnership with startup accelerator Startupbootcamp FinTech, IDA will help fintech startups test their products, and advise on financial modeling and fund raising.

“Being involved at the accelerator stage will also enable IDA early engagement opportunities with innovative and promising startups,” said Steve Leonard, Executive Deputy Chairman of IDA.

Eligible startups may be subsequently selected for IDA’s accreditation programme. Under the Accreditation@IDA initiative, the agency evaluates and accredits local tech companies to assure potential clients about the quality of the products, their ability to deliver, and the financial sustainability of the companies.

Startups selected for Startupbootcamp’s 2016 programmes will be eligible for support from the IDA. Applications are open till 7 February.
