Smart Nation: Two Years On
By GovInsider
Learn about Singapore’s vision to be the best.
“Imagine if we can tap on everyone’s local knowledge and anyone can contribute data: animal sightings, traffic incidents, potential hazards for cyclists, even the best mee pok or nasi lemak”, Lee Hsien Loong, Singapore’s Prime Minister said at the launch of the country’s Smart Nation vision two years ago.
The government has since built crowd-sourcing apps, gathering citizen complaints to better improve service delivery. It has also built an e-platform that pulls together citizens’ personal data across public agencies, to save them the hassle of refilling forms with data the government already has.
On the 27th of September, Dr Janil Puthucheary, Minister-of-State of Smart Nation will share about the country’s progress in achieving its vision, and the role of government in pushing boundaries.
The event will gather examples of innovative and cutting-edge public service delivery in the region, and pool government officials to share their approaches.
Innovation Labs World is free for all public sector officials. If you’re interested to be part of our event, fill in the form and we’ll register you to attend.
