Licences and permits have been often overlooked by governments in their overall digital plans. It’s not the most electrifying of topics. Yet it’s a service that can provide a huge amount of insight into the economic and social activities of a country, and an area where governments can serve much more seamlessly.

From Argentina to Estonia, their experiences show that there’s a great deal of untapped information and, with the right approach, it is certainly possible for citizens and businesses to have a much better experience.
