A case study by Microsoft shows how data helped Tourism Australia generate revenue.

They ditched 200 different spreadsheets and documents for a single analytics system. This allowed the agency’s staff and partners in 17 regions across the world to get a single view of their work.

They can forecast and view campaigns across the world to better track marketing efforts. They can create dashboards themselves and access them on mobile devices, removing the need for a large team of in-house analysts.

“Our strategy was to increase mobility in the organization,” says Dave Rumsey, Chief Information Officer of Tourism Australia.
