In February 2016, hackers stole $81 million from the Bangladesh Central Bank without holding up any branch, without breaking open any money vault or without firing a single shot. Because the crime was committed online and remotely.

Today, cybersecurity isn’t just the responsibility of IT & technology teams alone – everyone plays an important part.

A new online training series launched today shares how governments can learn, prevent and prepare for cybercrime and manage security in a modern way across their organisation.

Part 1 of the 4 part series is hosted by Keshav Dhakad, Regional Director, Digital Crimes Unit, Microsoft Asia-Pacific. He will share insights around rising cybercrime vectors directly impacting governments around the world.

Dhakad will also discuss the basics of the ‘Protect, Detect and Respond’ posture, which are fundamental to building a holistic security strategy and investing in a secure modern enterprise.

This cybersecurity awareness series has been developed for government officials in Asia and is available for free. Each episode is a bite-sized 12 minutes. The first episode is now available, and will be followed by three new episodes each week.

If you would like to take part, please register your details here to access the training session.
