Why these Jakarta schools moved to the cloud

Helping students and teachers work across five campuses.

Imagine having to travel four hours in Jakarta’s traffic to get to work every week. This was what some school teachers did to get to their classes on time. With 2,300 students spread across five campuses in the city, the Sekolah Pelita Harapan had to find a better way for their students and teachers to interact. The schools’ students were already using personal emails to submit assignments, but teachers couldn’t open all the document formats. Teachers in one campus couldn’t access files stored in computers in the other campuses. The schools moved to Microsoft’s cloud-based Office 365, giving students and teachers access to emails and shared folders from any campus in the city.
