Dodging the dark side of the internet

By IBM Security

How criminals use the dark web, and how to act against it.

Criminals can purchase malware on the internet, much like you would shop on Amazon or eBay.

A research report by IBM Security delves into the dark web, uncovering a thriving marketplace for malware. These allow criminals to take control of armies of infected computers called botnets, and are hard to find and intercept.

They can then steal personal information or illegal download material to a computer. If uncovered by the government, the owner of the infected computer is setup to take the fall.

This report shows how these botnets hide and take control, and recommends how you can protect against them. Download the full report if you would like to hear more from IBM Security.
