Poh Kah Kong, Delivery Manager at the Government Technology Agency of Singapore, will speak at our flagship summit, GovInsider Live on 16 October 2019 in Bangkok.
To serve citizens and businesses better through technology, government agencies not only need to adopt modern technologies but they also need to transform the way of working and thinking. To make the change possible, Kah Kong coaches the agencies to adopt Agile methodologies so they can lead effective digital transformation. He will share how agencies can develop and deliver citizen-centric services in an iterative way.
Kah Kong has been an Agile Coach in GovTech since 2016, where he started off as a Software Engineer in 2014. He has coached numerous agencies to adopt Agile methodologies, including Ministry of Trade (MTI), Accountant General’s Department (AGD) and Central Provident Fund (CPF), ranging from in-house to co-source, collocated to distributed projects. Besides coaching agencies, he is also responsible to scout for talents and mentor engineers in GovTech to build up the cross-functional engineering teams essential for Agile development.
Kah Kong was awarded Public Service Transformation (PST) Star Manager Award in 2018 for his excellence in developing people and driving innovation. To contribute back to the community, Kah Kong is also a mentor in P-TECH programme to provide ITE students with the support and guidance during their development years so that they can achieve the goal of getting a good job in the IT industry in the future.
