Microsoft has used data gathered from more than 600 million computers worldwide to put together an e-book on ten cybersecurity trends uncovered in 2016 - and why they matter to cybersecurity specialists. These include:


  • Declining Java exploits, likely because of changes in the way web browsers now evaluate and execute Java applets
  • Enterprise computers encountering malware at a lower rate than consumer computers thanks to stronger protection
  • Adobe Flash Player objects were the most commonly detected on malicious webpages
