How does it compare with the past?

Singapore today announced Budget 2016 with a total of SG$33.9 billion (US$24.7 billion) for healthcare, education, and transport.


Here is how the numbers compare to last year’s: Health has gotten a big boost, while transport has seen a slight dip.

Health has gotten the biggest increase since 2006, increasing six times. “This will rise further”, Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat said, as the number of Singaporeans aged 65 and above will double by 2030.
