How to create personalised treatments for cancer

By Intel

Data analytics initiative by researchers at Knight Cancer Institute.

It can take several months for doctors to find the cause of each patient’s cancer. In five years’ time, this could take less than a day using big data analytics.
Researchers at the Oregon Health and Science University’s Knight Cancer Institute are looking at how a patient’s DNA can be used to create a treatment plan, targeting the root of the disease in their body.

They are digging deep into data on the genetic causes of cancer, and analysing data across hospitals.
