Singapore, Vietnam triumph at ASEAN awards

Two apps and an e-government system given accolades.

Singapore and Vietnam have just won awards from the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) for their digital government projects. Singapore was awarded for two apps built by the Government Digital Services - the OneService App, built in partnership with the Municipal Service Office (MSO) and the MyResponder App, built with the SCDF. Meanwhile, Vietnam was awarded for the Da Nang e-Government Platform, built the Department of Information and Communications of Da Nang City. This platform is a centralised system that allows the city to build standardised websites and share data in a common format. The city has published a video that describes the project in a great deal more detail. The awards ceremony held in Da Nang last Friday, and is the 15th ASEAN ICT meeting.
