The Future of Internet of Things Security

By GovInsider

”Smart” devices are not really smart when it comes to security.

“IoT is a little scary to be honest,” says Tony Jarvis, Chief Strategist for Threat Prevention in APAC, Middle East and Africa for Check Point. Objects that were not designed to deal with data have now become “smart”.

But when it comes to security, they are “more or less dumb devices”, Jarvis says in a new report. Cloud is the future of security for the Internet of Things, he believes.

It provides sufficient processing power to support millions of devices, and allows government to centrally monitor them too.

The report discusses how governments can ensure safety of IoT and other technologies widely used in the public sector today. Download the full report by filling in the form below.
