Victoria Data Protection Head to share vision at GovInsider summit

Rachel Dixon, Privacy and Data Protection Deputy Commissioner at the Office of the Victorian Information Commissioner, will give a keynote speech at GovInsider’s pop-up data summit.

The summit takes place on 23 May in Singapore and will host officials from government, healthcare, public safety, education, along with private sector leaders.

Dixon is responsible for the Australian state’s privacy and data protection legislation, including implementation of the Victorian data security standards. Prior to this, she headed the Australian Government’s digital identity programme at the Digital Transformation Office. She brings a wealth of expertise in IT, telecommunications, big data, blockchain and biometrics.

Dixon is joined by Singapore IMDA’s chief of data innovation and protection, Yeong Zee Kin, as the headline speakers at the summit.

The event is being run by GovInsider, in partnership with Gemalto, a Thales company and leader in data security and protection.
