Rammas will be answering enquiries to the Dubai Electricity & Water Authority 24/7.
The Dubai Electricity & Water Authority has made the Dubai government's first AI virtual assistant, named Rammas, accessible on more platforms, the agency has announced.
The chatbot responds to enquiries in English and Arabic 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Using artificial intelligence technology, it can understand the needs of customers and analyse available data and information to present the most accurate answer.
Now, users can also access the service on Amazon’s Alexa smart voice system, according to the press release. The virtual employee supports the Smart Dubai initiative, which aims to transform Dubai into "the smartest and happiest city in the world".
The government also wants to encourage the public to use smart services and reduce the number of visitors to government establishments by 80%, according to the release.
“This supports DEWA’s vision to become a sustainable, innovative world-class utility,” HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA, was quoted as saying.
