A new study has revealed details of a group of hackers backed by North Korea that has attempted to steal over $1.1 billion dollars from financial institutions.
The fascinating report reveals the challenges that governments face in dealing with attacks that are increasingly well-sponsored and carefully planned, going so far as to wipe out any evidence afterwards.
These groups have conducted sophisticated and targeted attacks on over 16 organisations in at least 13 countries, FireEye reveals. The attacks were well-planned, with the hackers remaining in the networks for around five months on average.
