On 26 September, the GovInsider Innovation Awards celebrated the best public sector projects in Asia Pacific. An international judging panel selected the winners – from New Zealand to the Maldives, and Singapore to Jakarta.

Winners include the Mayor of Surabaya, the GovTech Agency of Singapore, and New Zealand’s Department of Internal Affairs. The awards were handed out by Mr Taavi Rõivas Prime Minister of Estonia, 2014 – 2016.

“We were astounded by the winners, who are fighting malaria, tackling dengue fever, building autonomous wheelchairs, and improving their nation’s transport systems,” Joshua Chambers, Founder of GovInsider and chair of judging panel, said. “They are pioneers that deserve this global recognition of excellence.”
