Government transformation head to speak at Innovation Labs World

Senior Director of Transformation from Singapore’s Public Service Division to give keynote.
The head of Singapore’s public sector transformation agenda will speak at Innovation Labs World on 26 September 2017. Charlene Chang is Senior Director of Transformation at the Public Service Division, Prime Minister’s Office.
Her role is to ensure that the public service is “future-ready”, encouraging new ways of thinking, challenging officials to take risks, and championing cross-agency collaboration.
Her unit brought in Workplace by Facebook into the government to create an internal social network for the entire civil service. It has also created platforms for officials to ‘rent’ the skills they need from other agencies, and launched “makeathons” to gather ideas from officials on how to improve public services.
Chang will speak at the ‘Citizen-centric Services’ session at the summit, sharing lessons from such innovative projects and setting out the vision for public service transformation.
