Empowering rural India through skills
By Serynn Guay
Apollo Medskills wants to train rural Indian youths to help plug a healthcare talent gap.
The initiative to empower rural youths with skills addresses the acute shortage of trained professionals in healthcare, and also helps India address the problem of poverty and unemployment. Over 70% of its students have been successfully placed in healthcare institutions and pharmaceutical companies.
Apollo Medskills won the Gold Award for the Talent Development category in 2018 with their rapid scale-up, offering over 60 courses and training over 9,000 youths from rural India to become healthcare professionals.
The Asian Hospital Management Awards, now in its 18th year, is a prestigious ceremony which recognises and honours hospitals in the Asia Pacific for best practices to improve healthcare.
You may submit TWO free entries on or before the early bird deadline of 30 April 2019. The final deadline for submission for this year’s edition is 31 May 2019. Winners will be announced during the Gala Night at Hospital Management Asia 2019 on 12 September.
