Global leaders to converge in Madrid for Govtech 4 Impact 2026

The world congress returns with its third edition, from May 5 to 7, where government leaders, public sector innovators, and technology experts will discuss the best way forward for public sector innovation.

Accelerating technology disruptions, evolving citizen expectations and demographic shifts have resulted in increased challenges for governments around the world.

 

To address these challenges and forge the way forward, Govtech 4 Impact (G4I) World Congress in Madrid (G4I 2026) will engage public sector leaders who are successfully driving transformation within their institutions, moving from advancing digital initiatives to pioneering new governance models.

 

G4I, to be held between May 5 to 7 this year, is an international forum designed to accelerate the digital transformation of governments by bridging the gap between public sector leaders and innovative technology providers.

 

The Congress is driven by the mission to present real, transformative, and practical content that helps reshape how governments operate, aiming to deliver impact on the lives of their citizens.

 

This year’s conference will feature nine curated sessions on each of the three days of the event designed to explore cutting-edge solutions and actionable insights across the GovTech ecosystem.

Exploring impactful public sector transformation

 

The programme will cover themes such as digital governance, data-driven policymaking, and citizen-centric service delivery.

 

There will be focus on digital sovereignty, Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in public service, and scaling GovTech solutions with public-private partnerships.

 

Some sessions will explore approaches to legacy transformation for more reliable and uninterrupted citizen services.

 

They will include speakers such as United Arab Emirates’ Prime Minister’s Office, Innovation Advisor, Giulio Quaggiotto, and United Kingdom’s Director of Products and Services for Government Digital Service, Leanne Cummings.

 

Speakers such as Catalonia’s Government’s Secretary of Telecommunications and Digital Transformation, Albert Tort, and State of São Paulo’s State Attorney and Lead Counsel for Science, Technology, and Innovation, Rafael Fassio will discuss ways to translate AI policies into operational delivery.

 

They will share concrete examples and forward-looking perspectives that are helping to shape the global GovTech ecosystem.

 

The event will also offer high-level networking opportunities with senior government representatives, international organisations, and innovators committed to advancing public sector transformation.
