Think of someone who works in cybersecurity in the government. What image pops up in your mind?
A shadowy figure hunched over glowing screens – battling digital dragons? While the image of a lone figure battling digital threats might come to mind, the reality is a network of dedicated professionals safeguarding our connected world.
At the heart of our increasingly digitised society, government services, citizen data and critical infrastructure rely on complex networks. Today’s cyber threats are not just a technical challenge but a societal one.
Silent architects of trust and guardians of our digital foundations define today’s cybersecurity professionals in the public sector.
GovInsider’s inaugural Cybersecurity Champions report
Does this sound like you or someone you know and admire? We want to highlight the real people behind the digital shields, and the unsung heroes who ensure our governments remain secure and trustworthy.
GovInsider will launch its first Cybersecurity Champions report in June, featuring a diverse range of public sector officials working in national security and intelligence, to critical infrastructure protection, data governance and privacy, to cybercrime and law enforcement and scam protection.
We are opening nominations for those who have played a role in driving cybersecurity efforts in the public sector to be featured in our inaugural report from now until May 2.
The report doesn’t just celebrate their technical prowess, but also the human stories behind the code – revealing their budget priorities, career motivations, and reflections on their professional journey.
