How Auckland uses digital to run megaprojects

Officials use digital tools to manage megaproject.

Auckland city in New Zealand is using a new digital platform to coordinate and deliver a 10-year megaproject.

The $1.65 billion project is a massive transformation for the city's rail transport, building a new line and stations through the heart of the city.

The digital platform provides the city's transport agency with accurate data and efficient coordination to deliver the complex project.

For instance, it can coordinate with property owners, residents and businesses to manage land acquisitions. External architects, engineers, and consultants can easily share designs and documents with the project team. And it plans to use this tool for all other big infrastructure projects in the future.
