How can citizen feedback improve council websites?

New study for Australian councils to benchmark their websites.
About half of all Australian council websites prominently display six or more common tasks, a new study by OpenCities has found. But what about the rest?
“Putting the most common tasks on your homepage quickly delivers the services that your residents need most, dramatically reducing time spent searching or navigating through extra pages,” the report says.
The top five most common tasks relate to jobs, contact information, library, rubbish, and public facilities, OpenCities has found. This new report benchmarks every Australian council website on prioritisation of tasks and seven other areas.
