How government can be more citizen-centric
By GovInsider
Citizens’ needs must come first.
Governments can increase public satisfaction and be more efficient by delivering services based on citizens’ needs. A report by Fuji Xerox and GovInsider shows five ways in which governments can be more citizen-centric.
They must reshape the way they interact with citizens to put user needs first. People expect instant access, and officials should be able to respond quickly to their demands.
Digital is a key part of this, and this will require agencies to move away from paper-based systems. This will also give agencies better data to understand citizens’ needs and deliver serviced based on this feedback.
Finally, trust is crucial. Agencies can ensure that security is not compromised as they move towards a more digital and citizen-centric government.
