How people can be trained to work alongside AI

Not all work can be easily replicated by software, and people need to be better trained in work that is uniquely human and, a recent research report says.

Work involving collaboration, creativity, curiosity, empathy and physical touch cannot be carried out by machines today, the report by consultancy Cognizant says.

In healthcare, for instance, nurses are able to spend more time empathising with and guiding patients as the manual, repetitive parts of their jobs are automated.

New kinds of jobs will also be created. For example, augmented reality designers will be in demand in insurance companies as the claims management process is redesigned, the report predicts.
