Report ranks performance of 86 ministries and agencies, and 34 provinces.
Indonesian President Joko Widodo has criticised a report ranking ministries’ performance published by Administrative Reform Minister Yuddy Chrisnandi.
“The only one who can assess the performance of the ministers is the President. That’s the principle,” President Joko said.
Minister Yuddy in December published a report ranking the performance of 86 ministries and agencies, and 34 provincial governments. The report ranks the best-performing ministries as the Ministry of Finance, Corruption Eradication Commission, Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, and the Audit Board. 22 ministries and agencies were given a ‘C’ grade for their performance.
The lowest ranked are the Attorney General's Office, National Library, National Human Rights Commission, Ministry of Youth and Sport and Ministry of Villages, Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration. Photo from President Joko Widodo's Facebook page.
