1. GovTech puts a stake on talents with no tech backgrounds

 

“If enterprises are paying for your upskilling and willing to place you in the jobs, it shows that they are invested in your career development and this maximises returns on both sides,” says Temus’ Director Marcus Loh.

GovTech Singapore will accept 80% of the graduates from Temus’ digital career conversion programme, Step IT Up, to work on its projects as Digital Business Analysts for a year.

2. AI v AI: Singapore banks on tech for online safety

 

CATOS will complement existing regulatory and digital literacy efforts as “another useful tool in [the government]’s arsenal in the battle against online harms,” said Singapore Minister for Communications and Information Josephine Teo at the launch event.

Government R&D agency, A*STAR, has launched the Centre for Advanced Technologies in Online Safety (CATOS) to advance technological efforts to build a safer online ecosystem in Singapore.

3. GovTech opens arms to the industry

 

“Together we can collaborate better to achieve even better outcomes... We have deliberately rebranded this event from industry briefing to industry engagement, to reflect a two-way conversation,” said GovTech Singapore’s chief, Wei Boon Goh.

GovTech Singapore’s Chief Executive, Goh Wei Boon, shared the steps the government is taking to simplify industry partnerships to co-develop projects.

4. Gen AI in public service – next on the Singapore government’s AI agenda?
