People-driven services are one of the most important new trends in digital government today, according to the United Nations. Governments are increasingly putting their citizens at the centre of decision-making, and design of public services, spaces and policies.

This, and other key trends and developments in global digital government, are captured in this year’s UN E-Government Survey. And the numbers tell a mixed story - two superstars, the UK and Singapore, saw slight reductions in their scores. Meanwhile, Denmark and Portugal rose up the ranks dramatically, the former emerging as the top-ranked nation.
