Shuyang Lin is Co-founder of Taiwan’s Public Digital Innovation Space, which has a keen focus on participation, accountability, transparency, and policy co-creation. Lin will be sharing her insights into citizen engagement during the morning panel at the summit, held in Singapore on 25 September 2018.
To promote collaboration, Taiwan is actively experimenting with artificial intelligence. In 2017, AI helped to provide full remote participation for large groups of participants. Eventually, PDIS hopes to take this to the next level by bringing participants into a shared reality environment, complete with real-time captioning and an immersive environment, according to Digital Minister Audrey Tang.
“Taiwan is constantly rethinking how government and citizens interact. We currently have a major focus on civic participation, and digital is a key enabler of this relationship,” says Lin. “I look forward to sharing insights into the impact of these initiatives at Innovation Labs World.”
Now in its third year, Innovation Labs World will gather senior government officials and innovators from all over the world to share lessons, observations and insights into the future of digital government. The summit attracted over 800 delegates from 44 nations last year.
