Singapore tourism CTO to speak at Innovation Labs World
By GovInsider
Quek Choon Yang will discuss the possibilities of predictive tourism.
Quek will share how the country is analysing data to identify emerging tourism trends and using robotics to help the industry cope with a manpower crunch.
In the future, it may even be possible for an algorithm to predict a tourist’s preferences based on past interactions, and match them up with available events. “What we are trying to do is really reduce the friction when people travel,” Quek told GovInsider.
Now in its third year, Innovation Labs World will cover inclusive innovation, cyber security, citizen centric services, healthcare and AI through a mix of streams, tech and focus groups. Senior public servants and innovators will share and discuss their best practices for government innovation.
Topics include:
- Fighting fake news
- Digital platforms
- Future skills
- Predictive services
- Data & trust
- Cyber security and public safety
- Supporting ageing demographics
- Building startup ecosystems
We look forward to seeing you on 25 September 2018. Registration is complimentary for the public sector.
