Smart Nation Minister now also Foreign Minister

Singapore Cabinet reshuffle sees long-awaited announcement of new Transport Minister.
Balakrishnan was appointed Minister in Charge of the Smart Nation Initiative last year when the scheme was announced. He was previously also Minister of the Environment.
Prior to entering politics, Balakrishnan was a surgeon and latterly the Chief Executive of Singapore General Hospital.
Posting on Facebook today, he said that he is looking forward to "working with Singaporean geeks, makers and hackers through the#SmartNation initiative!"
The reshuffle also saw the long-awaited appointment of Singapore's Transport Minister. The new minister is Khaw Boon Wan, who becomes Coordinating Minister for Transport and Infrastructure. Previously he was Minister for National Development.
