UN to speak at smart city forum, Surabaya

Mellyana Frederika, a Programme Specialist at Pulse Lab Jakarta, will be sharing lessons and best practices at the 3DEXPERIENCE Forum in Surabaya next week on 19 September. Pulse Lab Jakarta is a joint effort between the United Nations and the Indonesian Government.
The data innovation lab harnesses big data for sustainable development and humanitarian action. Frederika manages urban and regional dynamics portfolios where she works on translating data - small and big, analog and digital - into actionable insights for decision-makers in Indonesian cities.
She is actively involved in smart city discussions in Indonesia and abroad, and is a public policy expert with more than 13 years of experience on delivering local governance and decentralisation projects for United Nations agencies.
Frederika will be joined by mayors and top officials from Indonesia’s leading cities, such as Surabaya and Makassar. The French ambassador to Indonesia will also be speaking at the event.
