Accelerating Clinical Trials with a Secure and Scalable Federated Data Platform on AWS (AWS Public Sector Day Singapore)

Clinical trials often face significant challenges, including delays, data quality issues, and resource constraints, with 80% of trials experiencing delays that can cost up to $8 million per day. In this session, we explore how Oncoshot, a pioneering health insights exchange platform, has leveraged AWS to develop a federated data platform using services like Amazon EKS and Amazon RDS. This platform enables secure, real-time sharing of insights between healthcare systems and industry partners, enhancing national efficiency in drug development and cancer clinical trials. Oncoshot's federated data module allows the exchange of patient population insights between patient-facing and non-patient-facing organizations without exposing or transferring individual patient data.
