GenAI-Powered Government - The Next Frontier of Public Services?

By GovInsider

Governments around the world are increasingly acknowledging the transformative potential of Generative Al (GenAl) in revolutionising public service delivery and operations. GenAl has the potential to improve government-citizen interactions, streamline administrative processes, and speed up policy-making and implementation.

However, despite its promising capabilities, the widespread adoption of GenAl in government sectors faces several significant challenges. According to Gartner fewer than 25% of government agencies are expected to offer citizen-facing GenAl-enabled services by 2027, citing major obstacles such as fear of public failure, lack of community trust and few mature options for mitigating GenAI-related risks.

In this webinar, panellists from Asia-Pacific countries will gather to explore the key areas where GenAl is projected to make the most impact in government, discuss the challenges of scaling GenAl use in government, examine its benefits and risks in government operations, and explore strategies to scaling GenAl adoption in government. Attendees will gain insight into how to use GenAl to meet citizens' expectations, enhance service delivery, and improve public service quality and efficiency.
