Professor Chong Tow Chong, President of the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), has confirmed as a speaker at GovInsider Live, ASEAN’s best tech and innovation summit.
The summit takes place on 16 October at the United Nations Headquarters in Bangkok. It will host 1,000 senior officials from across ASEAN including GCIOs, Ministers, Permanent Secretaries and startups.
Rapidly changing industries means that education systems have to keep up, and produce graduates with relevant, industry-ready skills. Professor Chong will be speaking in the dedicated Education and Skills focus group at GovInsider Live, which will bring together voices from education and training to discuss lifelong learning; retraining employees in the public sector; and guiding the next generation.
Professor Chong had been SUTD’s founding Provost since 2010, and was appointed President in 2018. He was previously the Executive Director of the Science and Engineering Research Council and Data Storage Institute of Singapore’s Agency for Science, Technology and Research.
The full speaker lineup for GovInsider Live includes Ministers, Governors, Mayors, GCIOs and pioneering figures from across the world.
