AWS GameDay at Public Sector Day Thailand

Compete in a team-based environment where you will face real-time threats aimed at an eCommerce site. Your team will use AWS WAF and AWS Shield to mitigate distributed HTTP floods, web exploits, and malicious bots that disrupt the experience of your customers. This event offers a risk-free environment to respond to an actual DDoS attack. Your team will need to identify root causes and block each attack quickly without impacting legitimate users. Watch a real-time scoreboard and received feedback from other departments as your team works through each task of the game. The most effective team will earn a prize at the end.

 

Who should attend:

Technical Builders, Developers and anyone interested in learning to build on AWS.

 

Pre-requisites:

- Participants should be familiar with using AWS, with at least 6-12 months of experience using AWS in production. You will use the AWS Management Console extensively, as well as live AWS services to apply your technical knowledge to the challenges.
- Please bring along your personal laptop and charger to participate in this activity. Corporate laptops may face issues logging into the system.

- Temporary AWS accounts
- Wi-Fi connectivity
- Charging points

- AWS GameDay is a part of Public Sector Day Thailand, and registering for AWS GameDay will automatically register you for Public Sector Day Thailand.
- Due to overwhelming interest, the first hour of GameDay will be reserved for successful registered participants and game participation is subject to number of seats available. The entire GameDay experience will take place for 2 hours and 30 minutes.
