In 2024, France announced that the world’s first ever Minister of AI will be a woman – Clara Chappaz, who had previously run The French Tech Mission and sought to enhance the deeptech startup ecosystem.

But beyond Chappaz, women all around the world have played critical roles in government technology this year – with diverse portfolios covering software development, product management, tech policy and artificial intelligence (AI).

To celebrate these journeys, GovInsider’s annual Women in GovTech list will return this December in its eighth edition, featuring a diverse slate of women in government technology and their journeys.

For the first time ever, this year’s featured women will also be sharing their hot takes on what AI means for the public sector, from how it can improve services to the guardrails that need to be in place to ensure the technology serves public good.

We are opening nominations for inspiring women in the public service from all around the world who have played a role in driving government technology efforts to be featured in this year’s Women in GovTech list from now until November 15.
