1. How do you use technology/policy to improve citizens’ lives? Tell us about your role or organisation.

As a project coordinator, my focus is on collaboration. I work closely with ministries and institutions to deliver projects that make public services easier and more efficient.

With a background in IT, I help connect technical and non-technical teams, ensuring complex ideas are translated into practical, real-world applications.

2. What was the most impactful project you worked on this year?

The most impactful project I worked on this year is a government platform designed to authenticate and verify important documents online called verify.gov.kh.

This system is transforming how citizens and businesses interact with government services by making document verification faster, more secure, and more accessible. It helps save time, reduces the risk of fraud, and fosters trust in digital systems.

It’s inspiring to see how this project is simplifying processes and encouraging more people to engage with digital government solutions.

3. What was one unexpected learning from 2024?

One unexpected lesson from 2024 was seeing how technology is changing the way we serve people.

Working on a platform that makes document verification easier and safer, I was amazed by how much it can improve the speed and trust of government services. It showed me how digital tools can break down barriers and make life simpler for citizens and businesses.

This experience reminded me of the huge potential technology has to create real change and inspired me to continue advocating for digital innovation in public service.

4. What’s a tool or technique you’re excited to explore in 2025?

In 2025, I’m excited to dive into how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can make government services better. Imagine using chatbots and automated systems to get quick answers or process documents without the usual wait.

I’m also looking forward to exploring how data analytics can help governments understand what citizens truly need, so they can make smarter, more informed decisions.

With these tools, we could make accessing government services faster, easier, and way more efficient for everyone.

5. Everybody’s talking about AI today – give us your hot take on AI and what it means for the public sector.

I can see AI as a huge opportunity to make life better for everyone.

It can help make government services faster, easier, and more accessible like speeding up document checks or making sure help reaches the right people at the right time.

But AI isn’t just about cool technology. It’s about trust.

We need to make sure it protects people’s privacy, works for everyone, and solves real problems. AI can make government more efficient and help citizens access services more easily.

6. What are your priorities for 2025?

In 2025, my top priorities are to continue advancing the use of AI and digital tools in government, making services more efficient, and accessible for everyone.

Another big priority for me is encouraging more women to get involved in GovTech.

By mentoring young women and helping them find their place in the digital government space, so they can bring fresh perspectives and drive meaningful change.

7. What advice do you have for public sector innovators?

My message is to focus on making things easier for people. Use technology, like AI or digital tools, to solve real problems and improve how people access services.

Always think about fairness and privacy, and make sure your solutions work for everyone, not just those in big cities.

Don’t hesitate to collaborate with others whether it's within the government or with tech experts because innovation works best when we work together.

And remember, change takes time, but keep pushing forward to make a difference.

8. Who inspires you today?

I’m inspired by the amazing women in government who are changing the way we serve communities.

Their creativity, strength, and determination to make a difference motivate me every day. I’ve seen how they approach challenges with empathy and innovation, showing me the power of having more women in leadership.

Their work drives my passion to help young women take on leadership roles, especially in GovTech, and create a future where their voices are heard, and their ideas shape the world.
